MOMENTUM MOMENTS

October 2025

A MOMENT WITH PASTOR SCOTT

Dear Friends,

I’m excited to introduce you to the very first edition of MOMENTUM MOMENTS, our new quarterly eNewsletter.  This is a new way for us to stay connected, celebrate what God is doing, and share the journey we’re on together.

Momentum Ministries began in 2018 with a vision to publish the five books of The Climb.  I am thankful to report that God has helped us accomplish that goal and so much more.  We have written and published four other books and have also published books by two partner authors.  Along the way we have published Spanish translations of three books and a Portuguese translation of one book.

In 2021, God led us to expand our ministry into podcasting with Casual Conversations by Momentum Ministries.  We have produced over 200 episodes reaching hundreds of people with encouraging messages that lift up Jesus.

In 2023, with the encouragement of Nazarene evangelists Bill Ulmet and Larry Leckrone, I registered as an evangelist in the Church of the Nazarene.  God has given us the opportunity to share the Gospel in dozens of churches across six states and two countries, along with thousands of views on Facebook livestream. Sinners have been saved, believers have been sanctified, saints have been challenged, and pastors have been encouraged through this ministry.

Currently, we are working on the following projects:

  • A Spanish translation of our newest book – The Disciples Compass.

  • A book of devotions from the Psalms.  This will be the sixth book in our five book Climb series!  Watch for it in 2026.

  • A collection of essays on holiness to be published in 2026.

  • Getting all The Climb books published on Amazon KDP and Kindle.

  • Filling out our revival schedule for 2026.

  • Adding another podcast with Pastor Chris Shallenberger serving as the host.  This podcast will be exclusively evangelistic.  Like me, Pastor Chris has agreed to serve voluntarily.

As you can imagine, all these projects require funding.  Will you help?  As our board members look beyond our beginnings and into the future, we have asked the question, “What’s next?”  We want God to continue to build and grow this ministry as He wills and are remaining open to His guidance.  We know that will require funding, and so as we discern His will we are exploring various avenues of allowing God’s people to partner with us.  Can you help us establish the future trajectory of Momentum?

As we launch this newsletter and share some new ways for you to get involved, I want to thank you for being part of the Momentum Ministries family. Your prayers, support, and partnership make all the difference. Together, we’re seeing lives changed and hearts renewed.

Please take a few minutes to read through this first issue—be encouraged by what God is doing.  And I hope you’ll also consider partnering with us in some new and exciting ways. I’m so glad you’re on this journey with us.

Grace & Peace,
